Conference Overview
The 5th edition of the event approaches the most significant problems in the financial and banking field and of the interfacing businesses, with major consequences on the living standard of the population and on the macro-economic European level.
Extraordinary Participation of Two Nobel Prize Laureates Exclusively at CSEFF!
Two of today`s most brilliant economists have announced their presence at this year`s edition of the Central and SouthEast European Financial Forum to take place in June 3-6.
Renowned Professor Edmund Phelps and Senior Monetary Adviser to FED Edward Prescott are to lecture in Bucharest for the first time at the most important CEE financial forum.
Following Nobel Prize Winner Edmund Phelps, dr. Edward Prescott has just confirmed his participation to the CSEEFF. Edward Prescott is a senior monetary adviser at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and the W.P. Carey Chair of Economics in the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
He was awarded the 2004 Nobel prize in economic sciences for his contributions to dynamic macroeconomics: the time consistency of economic policy and the driving forces behind business cycles. He shares the prize with Finn Kydland.
Prescott earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Swarthmore College, a master of science in operations research from Case-Western Reserve University, and a Ph.D. in economics from Carnegie-Mellon University. In 2003 he received the Erwin Plein Nemmers prize in economics. He is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Econometric Society.
